What is Life Builders?

Surviving life in America is an every day challenge for many Internationals.   Simple tasks that many of us take for granted--like buying groceries, reading street signs, and talking to neighbors--are overwhelmingly difficult when there are language and cultural barriers.

Life Builders ESL Ministry was organized in 2000 in order to help  Internationals, by teaching English to those who were coming to live in the York County, SC, area.

Life Builders ESL Ministry is a non-profit organization and is led by an Executive Director and Board of Directors. 

The work of Life Builders is to teach English; the goal is to be able to share Christ's love with all of the students.

Our Mission

To minister Christ's love through teaching Conversational English and working to serve the Internationals in our community.

 

Internationals have come from all over the world to live in the York County SC area.

Some of their reasons for coming are                 

     Because of work assignments;

     For a better life for them and their families;

     For better job opportunities;  

     As refugees because of religious persecution in their home  countries;                      

     Because their home government is harsh and they love and appreciate the freedom of America.

The ultimate goal for many is to become a citizen of the United States 

All know that America is a great country and they appreciate the opportunity to live here.
